RED continues to expand its line of digital cinema cameras with the KOMODO-X Z Mount featuring a native Nikon Z mount offering adjustable AF speeds, fluid iris control, and customizable lens responses. It shares the global shutter 6K S35 sensor, powerful IP workflow, and advanced interfaces of the RF-mount KOMODO-X.

6K Super 35 Global Shutter Sensor

While sized the same as the original 6K S35 global-shutter KOMODO sensor, the KOMODO-X Z Mount sensor has been redesigned from the ground up, offering key architectural improvements while producing excellent image quality and color science. Features include enhanced shadow detail and color and frame rates up to 80 fps in 6K and up to 120p in 4K.

Compact KOMODO Form

The KOMODO-X Z Mount camera melds select DSMC3 features with the notably ultracompact KOMODO form. The KOMODO-X Z Mount has a built-in plate that enables the direct use of Micro V-mount batteries and is compatible with the PRO I/O Module for auxiliary power and full-size Gold and V-mount battery use. It also incorporates a full-size, 4-pin 11-17 VDC power input.

Integrated LCD

Users can preview their images and apply simplified controls via the integrated 2.9" LCD, an especially handy feature in tight setups. Pair the KOMODO-X Z Mount with the daylight-viewable, high-resolution DSMC3 7" Touch LCD for more precise monitoring and full control in a cable-free, decluttered form.

Nikon Z Lens Mount

• The KOMODO-X Z Mount has a reinforced, locking Nikon Z lens mount with advanced iris, auto-focus, and lens response capabilities.
• Pair the camera with a Nikon FTZ II mount adapter to use older Nikon F-mount lenses.
• It offers toolless switching to additional RED mounts and compatibility with third-party adapters for use with a wide range of lenses.
• Use the KOMODO-X Z Mount with the RED Z to PL adapter for compatibility with upcoming /i PL lenses.

Live Streaming and Expanded In/Out

Certified for RED V-RAPTOR and KOMODO-X camera systems, the 1TB PRO CFexpress 2.0 Type B Memory Card from RED offers protection from overheating, operates with a reduced power draw, and helps to ensure high bitrate capture. This card can capture all frame rates and resolutions, including Full HD and raw 4K, 6K, 8K, and 12K video. It features a capacity of 1TB and uses the PCIe 3.0 x2 bus to deliver maximum read/write speeds of 1785 MB/s.

Durable Angelbird Build

Designed and manufactured by Angelbird for RED, the PRO CFexpress 2.0 Type B series has been engineered with protection against shock, dust, water, temperature extremes, and x-rays, and has an MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) rating of 2.4 million hours. Included is lifetime data protection and an activation code for the full limited 3-year warranty. Add a direct-mount onboard monitor to your DSMC3 camera rig with the DSMC3 RED Touch 7.0" LCD Monitor with Rigid Hinge from RED DIGITAL CINEMA. The RED Touch features daylight viewing, a wide 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and touchscreen control for DSMC3 cameras, such as the V-RAPTOR 8K VV. The rigid hinge and arm enable you to apply more pressure for positioning the Touch for optimal viewing. The Touch monitor features 1920 x 1200 resolution, a 1250:1 contrast ratio, and 1300 cd/m² brightness for high-quality imaging.

This monitor attaches directly to your DSMC3 BRAIN using its Pogo mount, which provides video, data, and power to the monitor from the camera. Use the RED Compact Top Handle to add a comfortable grip for carrying or operating your KOMODO-X, V-RAPTOR, or V-RAPTOR XL camera. This modular, 3-piece handle features Bocote wood inlays, a 15mm rod monitor mount, and a run/stop trigger control. RED DIGITAL CINEMA DSMC3 5-Pin to Dual XLR 3-Pin Adapter

Add two XLR inputs to your V-RAPTOR camera with the RED DSMC3 5-Pin to Dual XLR 3-Pin Adapter. Connect the included 5-pin ODU cable to your camera's ODU port, and the other end of the cable to the adapter's port. The adapter can provide 48V phantom power and supports both mic and line-level inputs. It mounts to the V-Raptor using a 3/8"-26 screw, and has anti-twist pins to prevent it from spinning on your camera. The unit also features 6 x M2.5 screw holes for future accessories.

The DSMC3 RED 5-pin to dual XLR 3-pin adapter is not compatible with DSMC, DSMC2, RED RANGER, or KOMODO camera systems.

This RED PRO I/O Module from RED DIGITAL CINEMA provides a V-mount battery plate and additional power and communication interfaces for your KOMODO-X 6K digital cinema camera. The V-mount module mounts directly to the KOMODO-X camera's Micro-V mount plate and 9-pin EXT port.
